These guys are great! Friendly, super knowledgeable, and very fair pricing.

I was driving across the country from California to Colorado with my father when we received a drivetrain malfunction warning on my BMW X3 in Moab, Utah. A local mechanic recommended Steve at Foreign Aid. We reached out to them via phone and they helped talk through the issue. Andrew at the front desk helped give us confidence that we could make it to Grand Junction if we drove moderately and also provided us a phone number to a tow company in case things went south. Luckily we made it to Foreign Aid with no further issue.

When we got to Foreign Aid, they were nothing but professional and friendly. First, they were extremely accommodating and started investigating our issues right away. They checked out every aspect of the car, diagnosed the issues, and helped fix it. Honestly, I felt that my understanding my BMW improved drastically from talking with those guys. Steve is incredibly knowledgeable on foreign cars and it is reassuring to know that there is a great mechanics not too far from me.

Steve knew exactly what was going on with my pourly idling car, it was running rich because of the altitude. He pointed this out, helped me adjust the fuel mixture, and sent me on my way without charging me. Awesome garage, good people!

Had a problem with my Audi while on a vacation road trip. Steve was awesome and he and his staff seem very knowledgeable with German cars. I got the car to his shop late in the afternoon, and Steve’s guys had me back on the road by noon the next day. If I lived in this area he would be my go-to shop for anything to do with my car.

Great service, came in with not a clue what was wrong, within 3 days he figured out what was wrong, ordered the part, tore apart the car out the new part in, and loaned me his Audi to drive while I was stuck in Grand Junction. Great people, fast service. 5 stars.

Roadside emergency while on vacation; they took care of us and sent us on our way. No price gauging or up selling-just honest mechanics.

I called them for a quote on an oil change and radiator flush. First I spoke with a female who was not very knowledgable (aren’t oil changes pretty standard?) and she transferred me to Steve. Needless to say I found Steve extremely rude. I just love it when they show their true colors from the get-go. Saves me time and money.

I brought my BMW in for some work and they did an excellent job! I couldn’t be happier! The car runs great and I will continue to use them for fix up’s whenever I need them.

Man oh man. Audi broke down near Grand Junction on our way to Omaha, so we brought it to Steve and his guys. It was near the weekend and they don't work on the weekend, which could have been a disaster because we would have missed school. Luckily, Steve and his guys put me in priority cuz of our situation, and did all their best to do it quickly, and correct all while keeping the price down! You gotta come here, great people! The town ain't too bad either, you can play pool and drink :]

Steve is great.  Their staff is very friendly.  My BMW 325i broke down about 40 miles outside of GJ, and I found him on Yelp.  They were able to diagnose the problem with my car and able to fix it really quick and we on the road that day.  Super knowledgeable and he educated me more about my car and how to take better care of it in the future.  I would totally go back to him for all my BMW repairs and maintenance.  This shop is great.

DO NOT GO THERE, STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!I just got ripped off!  $312.72 for an oil change, left with no windshield wiper fluid and missing pieces from my air intake…..The man likes to yell and get loud with you so be warned to all the timid ladies, this is not a place where you will be respected. Who cares, its a mechanic not a therapist. I just need my car fixed….I actually did not come here for the oil change but for an oil leak. Since I needed an oil change I thought id get that as well. My car battery was also dying recently and the radio stopped working. Today I pick up my car after 3 days of them having it. The oil is changed but my car oil is still leaking. They said they ordered the wrong part ($20 oil filter gasket) and needed more time. The radio is still not working and they solved the car battery from dying by removing the radio fuse. To make a long story short I STILL have an oil leak, and my radio does NOT work. I was charged 2 hours @ $100/hour just to take out the radio fuse that was killing my battery. A monkey can do that in 2 seconds. The oil leak came from my gasket filter that was definitely noticed during the oil change, this did NOT take up more labor hours. Alone the oil change was $112.72 and the extra $200 was for the radio fuse he said. I am left with a leaky car, no car radio and down $200.00. If I want to get my car fixed next week he said I have to come back and pay more. The $200 diagnosis DOES NOT go towards your repairs like at your fine Volkswagen dealership. By the way my windshield wiper solution was not filled and after being yelled at by him, I was seriously too afraid to go back there to have it filled.I am a really honest person and the money issue isn't the problem, it just really sucks when someone takes advantage of you. I should of went to the dealership but I am one of those people who prefers local owned business's for the support. What a slap to my face! The man charged me $200 to take the radio fuse out of the board. This was no diagnosis, this was something I  should of researched more about on youtube and fixed myself.  I should of done my research before coming, I got screwed today. Don't let this happen to you. Below is what the Volkswagen dealership just sent me. This was all I needed foreign aid to do, and I got screwed.  The average cost for a Valve Cover Gasket(s) Replacement is between $150 and $210. Labor costs are estimated between $129 and $164 while parts are priced between $21 and $46.Get a personalized estimate based on your location and specific car. The Foreign Aid is the only one I would trust with my wife's BMW!  Her X5 had a valve cover gasket issue, such that the cabin was filling with smoke/exhaust.  A dealership in Grand Junction, claiming to do well with German autos, replaced it improperly and could not figure out why the car was still burning oil, now smoking up both the engine compartment and cabin.  That's when I got in touch with Steve, owner of Foreign Aid.  He leveled with me on the problems, solution, and cost.  He was honest about approximate times for obtaining parts and the repairs, and then exceeded my expectations on both.  His costs were not only fair, but lower than the two other bids I obtained. I highly recommend the Foreign Aid to anyone with car troubles, especially the foreign makes.

The owner Steve did a great job on my BMW. He went out of his way to make repairs on my car while I was on the road. He knew of my time restrictions and made the effort to make it work. He was very knowledgable with the vehicle and easy to communicate with.

Steve and Jack bent over backwards to replace the clutch in my VW Beetle after it was smoked on a road trip. Knowing we were stranded they lent us a car and moved around their schedule to get us back on the road quickly. Very knowledgeable and trustworthy staff. Highly Recommended.

Foreign Aid was a pleasure to work with. They were able to get my car up and running in one day, which was great because I was riding my bike to work! Jack was very knowledge about my volkswagen and I felt comfortable letting him do the repairs. I will definitely come back to Foreign Aid for future repairs. Good people!
