Can I give these guys 10 stars? We had a troubling engine noise in our Mercedes Sprinter RV as we were traveling through Grand Junction. I found Foreign Aid on an internet search and the owner, Steve Stewart, was able to take a quick look at it. He was very thorough, diagnosed the problem and strongly advised us NOT TO DRIVE it. He advised that though he could fix it, it was under warranty and we would be better having it towed to the Mercedes dealership in Denver. He could have ended the discussion there, but he helped us resolve all our issues past closing time and made sure we were safe and had the situation under control. When Mercedes roadside assistance called a tow company that did not have the equipment to handle our tow, Steve jumped in with a recommendation and arranged for a suitable operator. Since it was late, we had to rent a car to continue our drive home and leave our Sprintrr with Steve. To compound our challenges, we failed to leave the internal heat on in the RV and feared bursting pipes with the temps dropping below freezing. We called Steve and walked him through the process to get the heat turned on. Just to summarize, Steve did not do our repair, but he diagnosed the problem, advised us unselfishly and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of under a very stressful situation. Had we not followed his advise, we could have had a serious breakdown on a 2 lane mountain highway with no cell coverage. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for his kindness, knowledge and integrity. I would not hesitate to recommend Steve and Foreign Aid. If we lived in Grand Junction, he would be our go to guy for our Mercedes and Porsches.

Our VW Tiguan broke down as we were traveling through Grand Junction. I showed up without an appointment right when the shop opened. Steve got our car in immediately and was incredibly knowledgeable and honest. Felt like he treated us like a family member. Highly recommend!

The Foreign Aid and Steve took excellent care of my sons 4 Runner. Steve even took the time to tell him what had been done and a few things to look out for. Very professional. Thanks Steve

I would highly recommend to anyone in the Grand Junction area. He knows BMWs very well and is very prompt and accurate with his estimates on repair costs.

I found the initial quote to be accurate for the work done, the service excellent, the quality outstanding and the price fair. Steve knows the BMW models well and I would highly recommend The Foreign Aid for BMW service and repair issues as well as for other German car models.

Steve was extremely rude to me and came off a trans-phobic. I will never give my business to Steve again, someone needs to teach this man a lesson in courteous.

Steve is such a pleasure to do business with! He is kind, caring and honest. Exceptional work and love that he volunteers his time with military veterans. Will definitely take my Audi back to Steve!

Named the foreign aid but wont work on my foreign car. Guy was not nice on the phone, very high strung and basically saying it’s a pain to work on some cars. Well do something else then and don’t advertise you work on foreign vehicles. If you only want to charge an arm and leg to work on “some” foreign cars, your work is likely not good anyways.

Steve.. Let me tell you about a very generous and gracious man. Him and his team at Foreign Aid along with a few others donated me an Audi in December. It was amazing and very appreciated. Ever since then when I have had any issue I have gone to Steve and his team and they have been on point and very helpful with me. Thank you so much Steve for everything you have done for me and other Veteran’s in the valley we all appreciate it and you have made a customer for life!

I first brought my M3 to Steve after an extremely frustrating experience at another local European specialist. Unlike his competition, Steve was able to diagnose the issue with my vehicle, utilizing the proper diagnostic equipment and programming software. This allowed him to quickly diagnose and fix the issue, without charging me for hours spent experimenting with possible fixes. Steve has proven to be honest and fair in all of our transactions. I will not take my vehicle anywhere else!

I own 3 German cars and none of them are covered by any sort of factory warranty. I live almost 250 miles from the nearest BMW dealership and getting any sort of work done on my cars is a real pain in the butt to say the least…. until I found Steve and The Foreign Aid. Now I take all 3 of my cars to Steve for ALL of their required service and maintenance and I couldn’t be happier. Steve has a passion for German cars and it shows. He is very knowledgeable and resourceful and gets the job done right. I have always felt that I was treated fairly and was charged honestly for the work that was done. No doubt BMW’s are expensive cars to maintain and to expect otherwise is ridiculous. What you should expect is honesty and Steve is as honest as they come.
